Mick

How about bringing down some of those PO wagons for display and discussion at Brightwell.

Rob

Will do Rob, a bit nervous about bearing one's sole in public though. I could put them on a table and hide somewhere :))

Mick, you could have a dry run... like at the York Show where I shall be very pleased to see the results of your efforts!

regards, Graham

(Peter and I are helping Bob Alderman (Montacute) with Albion Quarry at that show... )

Chris and I are going along to York on the Saturday Mick and we too would like to see them:thumbs:

I'll have a go fella's, to be honest at the minute it's a close run thing with the wife and work but I've promised all sorts of D.I.Y favours to see Bramblewick for the last time. Two model railway events in one month, she'll never let me hear the end of it :headbang::))

Yes, wagonman has done a good job again especially as I failed to get stuff to him that should have been in.

Photo of the N7 on the front cover is stunningly good.

When (if) I finally regain my modelling mojo I might even make something; just hope that I don't need a time machine to travel back to around 1983 to find it ;)

This will be old news for most of you but my copy of the August S7 Group Newsletter arrived today and I have to say I think it is a very good one. A good range of articles including Adrian's Midland tender underframe, Tony Watt's explanation with photographs of the fantastic James Peel Richards models, and Richard Chown building a very French locomotive, plus the usual area group round up and other bits. The Inspiration photos of Jonathan Bushell's 0-4-4t underframe with a cranked layshaft driving the driving axle by inside coupling (or are they connecting rods?) need to be seen.

So even though I can't get to meetings I think the Newsletter and S7 Stores mean the cost of membership of the Group is good value and well worth joining up for.

The increasing membership, which includes a fair number of re-joining peeps and is within a nat's whatsit of 300, suggests that others agree with your comment.

Thanks mate, I can only apologise to Richard Kelham for his constant requests for words to go with pictures, but thing have been so busy lately with work and at home that the moment had passed before I got a chance to put pen to paper...

Sorry Richard, but I think you filled in for me very nicely...!

I'm sure I have a few things in the pipeline that will be worthy of pictures and text..

JB.

And now that the Committee is prepared to stump up for 20 pages, it's even better value! All I have to do is fill all that extra space. Contributions gratefully received – especially on layouts.
