Speed Restriction signs

All the prototype speed restriction signs that I've seen on the Western Region (and there are still one or two knocking around), have posts made from channel section point rodding. I just happen to have some of this in my back garden if anyone needs to know the dimensions. :)

Good question - I live very close to a railway line and there were some lengths of point rodding propping up a chainlink fence. The fence has since been replaced with a sturdy wooden specimen, but I though it might be worth hanging on to the point rodding. It seems I was right........ :lol:
