Sudbury S7 Xmas meet

Hi all,

Well I attended the Sudbury scale 7 digs/den/establishment to see what scale7 is all about, and I get it, I really do.
Lots of people, most of who's names I've forgotten already, I blame it on working at height, blows all your memory away LOL, though by now I'm almost automatically ducking in the right places as I walk around, honest!.

Great to talk to people, very friendly and loads to discuss and great atmosphere so thanks to all for making me welcome and not throwing me out when I mentioned LMR and Stanier, though Peter did look a little worried that my eventual Princess might destroy the track LOL

Anyway took some photos so thought I'd post them up, I did take photos of all the locos...except Phils Deltic which I couldn't because my drooling tongue kept getting in the way :), but it was nice to look at, very nice indeed, still, not all the images came out, some were blurred so please don't feel offended if your loco isn't in the photos below, it's not intentional.

Right off to dust off the soldering tools and try and get at least a Stanier 4000gal tender ready for the next meet.

Enjoy

Mick, it was great to meet you at last. Those pictures of double headed Deltics hauling freight would be good to see. :)

No no, you miss heard LOL, only single Deltics on freight but do dimly recall a double header Deltic on a passenger or parcels train, will try and dig out tonight for you.

Pleasure to meet you too :)

I'm going with that the bogies were replaced within ones that had to hand...

Great stuff Mick. Would be interested in seeing the Deltic being refilled with water if you've time to post up?

Good to meet you Mick, I think you'll need that Viking helmet to stop you knocking your self out on the low doorways in PJH's medievil house mate .

Thanks chaps, gotta find the helmet first, some where in the loft...I think LOL, the stretcher bar on the floor was a nice trap for the unwary as well ;)

Loco is D9017 at Stockton April 62. Note no battery vents where the crest is, another sign of an early loco, can't recall seeing any on your model either, really does look like Heljan opted for the early locos and just painted blue, the joys of engine picking ehh LOL.
