Apologies if this as been mentioned before and unfortunately I don't have access to templot but can anyone give me the correct scale distance between the switchblade and running rail in 7mm. Just finishing a B7.

If you mean the distance the tip of the switch rail moves then this is 4 1/4". The heel of the switch rail is 10 11/16" from the stock rail with a switch rail length of 22'-6".

Your welcome Bob, I have a copy of the Permanent Way Institute's book "British Railway Track, Design, Construction and Maintenance. Third Edition.
This covers both Bullhead and Flat bottom rail, so if you need any more info. just ask.
