Hello all,
I had a great weekend too, thanks to all I spent time with over the last few days.
Like Richard I'm knackered and I imagine the same is true of all my colleagues on the Technical Committee and the extended team. Thanks for all your hard work.
Cheers,
Steph

It was geat to catch up with everyone again, but how can two days pass so quickly? Thanks to the organisers for making it all happen and here's to next year's show.

I admired the Dapol Terrier, the Minerva Peckett and Lionheart's Tank wagons. I'm sure they'll all be very popular. Though talking to Richard Lambert, the advance orders on the tanks are heavily biased toward the 'Shell-BP' and 'Esso' versions.
...
I'm not sure when Dikitriki became so knowledgable about Lionheart products but Richard Webster made the same 'Shell-BP and Esso' comment to me!

Very tiring weekend but very enjoyable.

Good to catch with those that I did and sorry to miss the meet up.

Heyside look excellent in the flesh and seemed to be expertly run. One could tell who was managing as they were the only operator out of the regulation Heyside shirt!

I would go as far as to say that was the most enjoyable Guildex I have been to lots of talking and a good deal of train watching too which is new to me.

Had a brief chat wth Steve Beattie about the class 15 today (Sunday) and unfortunately didn't have a built model or a kit to look at as he had sold out yesterday. He seemed pretty confident about the re-design of the kit though, and I'm keen, so watch this space..

Looking forward to 2016 already for many and various reasons..!

Some news about the Dapol 08.....

Was told by them that the 08 should (eventually) be ready 1st quarter 2016. Gives me a little more time to save for a second one !!.

Just got in after a very long train ride, a good weekend and so good to see so many people that I may only see maybe twice a year. But where did the two days go (and it was not in the bar at £4.00 a pint!)

Was it 'spoons or The Crown at Oakengates then?
Seriously good Guildex by all involved and great to meet and put a few names to faces. It must have been good, even the missus enjoyed it!

Well I'm a member of the thoroughly futtled and knackered club. Came home with scattergun damage which I will reveal soon!
Thank you all.

Excellent weekend good to see most WTers in attendance and old friends from the Guildford OGG. Heyside was the star closely followed by The Summit. I hope that Heather found her buffers.

Now looking forward to discharging some of the built up enthusiasm on a new layout in the workshop and a micro in the den (Ixion industrial Fowler purchase responsible for this diversion) as well as getting stuck into the shelf queen stash:eek:

cheers

Towards the end of Guildex we were handed a newly purchased coach kit which appears to have been lost its owner.
The seller does not have record of who purchased it.
If you misplaced a coach kit (or you know who did) please contact me off group.
If you can supply details of the kit you have lost, I will find a way of reuniting you with it.

We had packed up and closed the van doors 2 1/2 hours after the close which I am pretty pleased with, though I think we could probably shave a little off this next time.

Blimey - thanks to a good run the Hospital Gates team were in the right county and nearing home by then!:D

19ft (4 boards) of layout down and all boxed in our usual 15 minutes - 25 Minutes queuing to get the van in the hall - 10 minutes to load and fight our way out - off site by 5.50.

All unloaded and back in place in the play-room just short of 3 hours from leaving (and that included a brief refreshment stop and the long 50mph section on the M1).

Great weekend as usual & great to meet up with everybody again.......also great to meet up with Simon & Neil at long last...I hope you both enjoyed the delights of Bridgnorth as much as we did! :);)

Hymeks D7017, D7036 & D7100 were unfortunately transferred away from Withercombe to a London depot.........but it's all part of the Withercombe master plan;)

Thanks to Easybuild I will be able to progress with a few Motor Rail flats & introduce a Motor Rail service to Withercombe in the 2016 holiday season.......many thanks Shawn;)

I know he's not online but lots of us in the 7mm community were delighted to see Dick Taylor (aka Westdale) enjoying the show after his sad loss.....great to see you Dick! ;)

All the best

Phill

Just home and a great weekend. Best Guildex so far in my humble opinion. Visited with a long standing friend and we spent more time at Heyside than anywhere - thanks Richard. Spending was quite frugal this year, but I succumbed to the Dapol Terrier. No doubt there are improvements to be made but what a loco at the price! I also ordered a BR black version from Tower which, I understand, is already oversubscribed.

Great to see quite a few WTers - sorry I missed the meets but my mate is not of this clan and in all honesty we only just completed all we wanted to do over the two days.
