Gorgeous sunshine here in mid Wales, I've been planting roses at the top of the drive this morning.
Sod that Rob, I'll just be building a lean too on the side of the garage and having an outdoor, undercover narrow gauge estate railway instead. Or I might buy a marquee and just cover the whole garden
The thought had crossed my mind as well
Currently 70+ at 19:05 and it is still sunny - welcome to Dallas Fort Worth, next stop Alabama. Late to bed tonight.
Well I spent yesterday in freezing Telford waiting for uncle Marsa's car to be finished ( a real posh motor) cos his wifey says he can't drive at the moment and was I frozen, icicles hanging off me extreme bits including the padded overhang
You really know how to make friends don't you Tim, lol
Blue sky and fluffy clouds here in the North East...
Well. It white over, here & still coming down & I have to drive from Mansfield to Whitehaven, Cumbria via Middlesborough today !!!
best of luck with the journey - there's about 50mm on the ground here and it's still coming down. I have to take aged Auntie shopping at 09.00 - I might be gone for some time.............................
It's been chucking it down big time for almost 24 hours, down in Glorious Devon...
Grey skies, snow and slush; my previous gloating re. sunshine may have been premature.
Copped it quite badly round our way (West Mids) last night and Liverpool... usual car drivers bricking it out on empty-but-snow-covered motorways at silly o'clock. Sure they'll have more tales of "mad lorry drivers" to tell today .... not mad, mate, just experienced. Get a move on or stay at home!!!
Oh yes I was up at silly o'clock this morning to behold the white stuff had a hold and then spent nearly an hour having loads of fun deliberately sliding and slipping weaving and skidding all the way to work. the roads all to my self what a way to start the day
What gets me is the cold. The older diesels can be a so-and-so to start - the Australian version of EASY START makes it more fun though, especially if you sing along
You just got to have a can which is hidden for Telford, slip that in the BB booze and whoooooossshh
We had almost 2 inches of the white stuff in rural Shropshire, but all roads lead to the SVR Spring Gala, and I managed to get to Kidderminster without too much trouble. It was very, very cold with sleet and rain at times, but the pub warmed us up.
Here's a small selection of my photos- some just oily details that caught my eye.
None too warm over here............even worse, a tornado just passed too close for my comfort.
many thanks for posting the spam can photos, being driven by a friend from the Wirral O Gauge Group this weekend - Rod Derry.
Works for me, like the Spam can, must get back to that project at some point!
It's been snowing all day here up in the Pennines. Here's a picture taken from my house at 7.00 this morning (22.03.13).
And some awful rain while I was in Amersham last week taken at 6.30 pm (16.03.13).
