OOOhhhh Errr misses that is a tight fit but that's not an idea that's unique to waterways remember The Titfield Thunderbolt when jacks coach chimney was pulled down to get under bridges

Back to the layout. I've been weathering and re-numbering again.

Newton Abbot's 5153 arrives in Wencombe with the early morning parcels.

I live in Ludhambetween Norwich and Yarmouth on the north side of the rivers. Interestingly the loose group I belong to are planning an O gauge layout southern based. Is West Mersea the layout that is on RMweb. I've done a fair bit of siling on the Blackwater estuary. Ceratinly would be interested in a visit at some time.

Absolutely... Although if they are in any way associated with the MAGOG group they probably already know about the West Mersea...

The weathering on that Large Prairie in those last pics is superb!! reminds me very much of those rare 1960's colour photos where you're not quite sure if the loco last left the Works Paint Shop in Green, or Black.... ???

Alan,
Sorry this is off topic but one of the WMR gang lives not far from you, just outside Lowestoft.
He's an S7 member and I think he has some 00. I can put you in touch if you'd be interested.

Nice layout by the way, and I like the barge. I have to build some barges for my on planned layout in the future.

A few newpix with new camera. I'm amazed at the results. Photos taken with some curtained daylight and light in room but no flash or photoflood. It's a fairly simple??!!?? Lumix FS 30 It allows me to get where the DSLR can'tget.

It's a long time since I posted anything. Whilst I had the airbrush out for the O gauge wagon, I' thought I'd also do a few locos that needed doing, 3834, 4561, 5552. here are the results

Lovely photos as always, Alan. Weathering looks very good with varied effects on the different locos. I like your trees too and you have an awful lot of them!

Love the "What colour was it Ex-Works??" look to the 55xx..!!
Lots of subtlety on the 2-8-0, as well. Dare I spoil it by pointing out the middle axle on the tender has grounded..?  :-[ Sorry!! :-[

What i didn't mention was that the sidelights and wing mirrors had gone missing. I decided to make the sidelights from plastic rod which was pencil sharpened and then sanded and a attached to the wings by a short piece of brass wire.
