Western Thunderer
Hello, I am building a model of West Green station, it was on the Seven Sisters to Palace Gates Branch and closed on 7th January 1963.
Well I should say I am building an impression of it as I have to compromise on space etc but I want the key elements for my impression. I have photos of the station which appear on the Disused Stations web site and am trying to scale the building as best I can.
The building was made of weather board and I think each one was roughly 8in or 200mm wide, I arrive at this by comparing it with brick courses and also when I count up the number of boards to the top of the doors it comes to 10 so 2 metres high which is roughly correct..
What I am interested in is the station canony that has a scolloped bottom on it and I am trying to work out the width of one complete section of Scolloping, ie From bottom to bottom or top to top
Regards Steve.
Also want to know where I can buy swan neck gas lights for the platforms.
