7mm West Green Station

Hello, I am building a model of West Green station, it was on the Seven Sisters to Palace Gates Branch and closed on 7th January 1963.
Well I should say I am building an impression of it as I have to compromise on space etc but I want the key elements for my impression. I have photos of the station which appear on the Disused Stations web site and am trying to scale the building as best I can.
The building was made of weather board and I think each one was roughly 8in or 200mm wide, I arrive at this by comparing it with brick courses and also when I count up the number of boards to the top of the doors it comes to 10 so 2 metres high which is roughly correct..

What I am interested in is the station canony that has a scolloped bottom on it and I am trying to work out the width of one complete section of Scolloping, ie From bottom to bottom or top to top
Regards Steve.
Also want to know where I can buy swan neck gas lights for the platforms.

Hi Steve

I don't know if you are aware of them but Poppys Woodtech do a Great Eastern valance that looks very like that in your photo.

Have a look here (about 2/3 down the page):

Poppys WoodTech - &mm scale items

Regards.
Bill you are a LEGEND, that is exactly what I want and I figure trying to make this will send me to the lunnie bin.
Any idea where I can get swan neck gas lights for the station.

I owe you a bottle of top quality single malt LOL
Regards
Steve

Peter Hunt of Sudbury also has some, as measured from the actual valance still sitting at Chigwell station..

This is laser cut in Romark I believe so will be a bit finer in detail than the above..

@Oz7mm do you have any photographs?

JB.
