Do you mean as at Earls Court circa 1982?  The 'plane down the length of the hall was amazing.

As it was at the same venue 12 years later, but the Close Encounters mothership during Comfortably Numb trounced even the plane.  Plus DSOTM in it's entirety. Wot a gig!

Oh yes! I have also put the solebars in earlier than suggested, but I think it is necessary to square things up.

I have visions of you sitting at the kitchen table typing your message while bathing your feet in a bowl of something relaxing - respect!

How long did it take you to complete the circuit?

:)) :)) :))

I fear any respect after my attempting what you have just done might be posthumous - especially on a day like today.

I don't suppose you had much time to admire the scenery or take pictures - very well done indeed

I didnt manage to spot the Cambrian extension to the Elan valley  :)) the water was actually quite high, after a dry summer you can quite often see the remains of the village. I did cross the old mid Wales line at Rhayder and the central wales line at Knighton, does that count ?

A little work first thing this morning, followed by a blast with the hosepipe (no the chassis doesn't fit in the kitchen sink!) has seen the major trusses in place.
There is a bit more solder than I would normally use as the trusses and solebars perform more of a function in this size  :))

I can see you dashing down to Mabeys if you need any replacement steelwork and get a welding set in lieu of the solder iron while you're at it! Nice work Cynric, looking forward to the next episode.

I was over that way on Saturday too (albeit on four wheels rather than two), I missed the extension to the Elan Valley too  ;D Beautiful place though, good place for a blat. 10 out of 10 for the cycling  Gov, that was some doing in the weather we've just had - did you have to dodge many motorcyclists during the day?

Looking forward to watching progress on the coach

A few motorcyclists, it is quite sharp and technical, not many of those flowing curves.
The reason for starting with the chassis was to establish the fit to the body. The two are held together by a dozen or so 10ba screws (no huge bolts through the lavatory  :)) ) this actually required quite a bit of fiddling until I was happy and im glad I did the job early on in the build.
The slots you see are where the screws fit and there is sufficient of a recess for them to be invisible when seen from the side
