JB.
It doesnt matter how big the bench is you will always end up working on a little bit 12 inches x 6inches [/quote:80nd3fyy]

That's very true Guv, but it doesn't allow space for all those half finished projects that you don't like to put away as that might be seen as admitting defeat

Simon

PS It must be good to be known as an item of parcels stock, although possibly not anything labelled "parcels miscellaneous xxxx" :shit:

Time to schedule in a tidy up and 'finish the un-finished' in preparation for the cold months ahead...

Hi Fred,

very nice workshop.

A couple of questions if you don't mind:

What are your comments on the Proxxon vertical drill please, been tempted for a while, having got one of their hand held jobs.

Which rolling road is that

and finally, do you have a dust extract system installed (they seem to be missing from all workshop photos - except Cynric's)

regards

Mike

As a very general observation, I would say most railway modellers don't have extractors, whereas military and car modellers seem far more aware of the paint hazards and therefore the benefits of paint extraction. its certainly not the most exciting piece of equipment I have bought, but I wouldn't be without it now. I can spray cellulose year round in the comfort of my workshop without any domestic complaints or health hazard, i recently changed the filter and i was quite shocked at the paint particles it had extracted

IMG132.JPG Mike, Yes i made my own from a Bathroom extractor and releif tube, i would prefer a gause filter system and will get round to fitting it, i have also to the left of the photo's a spray booth and turntable. As for the pillar drill excellent and the rolling road i bought from Chris Baston Dragon models, they are imported from France i beleave.
