Workshop Wise

I suppose it comes under the general heading of 'exhibition' so perhaps this is the right place so here goes ...

Can I draw the attention of modellers in the general area to an event called "Workshop Wise" organised by the NE & Borders EM Gauge Group and held on Sunday, October 14th at the Village Hall, Stannington (on the A1 just north of Newcastle).

It is well known in the EM fraternity but is well worth the visit for anyone interested in good modelling, whatever the scale/gauge.

As the name implies, it is mainly demonstrators showing how they do things and only hoping that someone will come along and ask them something ... anything ... please! There are few traders, obviously specialising in EM on the day and a couple of layouts for entertaiment. In addition there is a slide show (covering railways in the 1960s mainly) running throught the day ... oh yes, there is also tea & coffee and there may well be some very nice cakes and stuff!

If you are thinking of popping along the opening times are 10:30 till 4:30 and the post code for your satnav is NE61 6EL. Entrance fee is the massive sum of £3:00!
