Well for once, something worthy of the WR area..

Got our Western Gala this weekend at the Epping Ongar, Friday to Sunday.

Brilliant weekend, though the highlight was shunting by moonlight, the Autocoach that turned up at 11.30pm. We were moving stock into position until around 3am on the morning of the first day of the gala. Bloody brilliant, I could have gone home happy at that point....

Unfortunately we're still struggling with visitor numbers when compared to the more mature railways, despite the show that we put on... Anyone have any thoughts?

Found a good set of videos on YouTube.. Hope you all like. You can see me on the prairie in the morning and the Manor in the afternoon..

excellent, thanks for posting that. It's my local line, as soon as I retire, I'm signing up as a volunteer.
attendance should pick up once the interchange at Epping is sorted, engines can round around their trains, then travel all the way to Ongar in one trip.
