Good day,

I used to use TRAX to make up my track plan sketches but now that I've switched to Windows 7 it will not work.
I do have Templot but I'm only looking for a quick sketch tool, preferly a free one would be nice.

I've heard people talk of Turbo-cad is that any good / still available?
I model in 0 Gauge.

Regards

I Would recommend Draftsight which is free in combination with Sketchup. If you dl sketchup 7.1 there is a free plugin to import dxf files so you can use templot plans and 2d geometry from draftsight.

Hi Barnaby,

For details of how to get TRAX 2 running on Win7/64-bit see my post on the traxusers group:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/traxusers/message/88

TRAX 3 is expected to be released at Telford next month, and is claimed to install on Win7 without problems.

Sorry about the delay in replying.

regards,

Martin.

Thank gents I've now opted for anyrail which I find quick and intuitive.  At the moment I'm only using the free version which is limited to 50 pieces but that is ample for my end to end run.

Martin same same sorry about my delayed reply.
I found that link when looking on your webby so I got it up and working but as I say above I now prefer Anyrail.

Thanks again all
