What does the Class 37 bodyside pipe wording say?

Hello Tom,

I asked similar questions of Brian Daniels and his reply was interesting... "I am not sure about some of them"... and "there might not be a notice there...". Here are some photos of the two CL37s at Cheddleton, unfortunately the notices are not always readable.

As I was able to access only one side of the locos there is a good chance that the notices on the other side are different - in position, number and grouping.

Thank you Mick,

Whilst I had the feeling that the notices differed in position / grouping between the two sides of an engine what I had not suspected before was that the wording appears to change and that there might be different signs across the various sub-classes.

Seems to be a good subject for some study of the prototypes.

regards, Graham
