There was a group trying to get started in the Newcastle area through a member of WT, Simon (@Caggers)... step forward please.

Jeanpaul Venus (@lnerjp) has taken the pledge, JP resides to the north of the county.

Not forgetting the S7 spy in the F7 camp, Mick Roffe (@7mmMick).

Or contact the S7 Membership Secretary who may be able to help (GDPR permitting).

Yep, I’m here. The NE group does have some attendance but I struggle to make it due to work/life etc and I’m based near York so it’s still a fair trek to get there,

Always good to hear of S7ers in Yorkshire, we are an endangered species:))

The NE group is currently without an organiser. Any volunteers...?

Hi All,

I am still alive and kicking up in Newcastle. This last year was a bit of a let down with modeling as the family have been running (literally) around the country to athletic competitions.

However, I have spent a few hours in the past few weeks on the layout I am building, amoungst other items. The 'challenge' we have in the NE area is @7mmMick is at the southern end of the area and I am at the northern end and there is 80 odd miles between us. There are a few people between and we could try again if there is interest???

If nothing else the Blyth and Tyne Model Railway Society have an open day in early December. We have a large club house (approx 9,500 sq feet) so it could be worth a visit and a natter...

Open Weekend

I hope to have a point or two working so will have something running on my S7 layout.

I have been working on the layout over the couple of months, and picked up some more fishplates at Warley yesterday so may have a point working. I have been working this past week so there will definately be something Scale 7 running in the cold north in a couple of weeks...

Sounds interesting !!!!
Have to say I haven't done any modelling for the last six months, kind of lost my mojo when the track board I'd spent so many hours researching and building mysteriously disappeared from the MRC and has never been seen again. I lost the will after that point. So the locos I was building have been locked away in a drawer, I just don't have the heart now...........
Michael
That is a pity. I was wondering how your NLR locos were going when I spotted this O scale model in a perspex case in the Toronto Railway Museum when I was there in September.

I think it is 2 rail coarse scale. From what I could see I thought it looked quite a nice model. I don't know anything else about it but it would look better in S7.

Whilst not being a current member of the MRC I can confirm that the board cannot be found at Keen House. However the good news is that a new board has been built (to S7 standards) by the Bow Junction team and will be on display (courtesy of the MRC) on the ScaleSeven stand at the Reading trade show this Saturday. Come and have a chat and see the progress made.

that says it all really, to much to expect a reply myself of course, or even to have politely let me know the "Bow Junction team" would take the templot plan I was responsible for making.......

Further to my comment in note #15 the new board for the MRC's Bow Junction will not be appearing at the Reading Trade Show on Saturday owing to illness. The S7 stand will be there so do come and have a chat. The replacement axles for the Dapol (ex-Lionheart) Mineral wagons will be available.

The replacement axles for the Dapol (ex-Lionheart) Mineral wagons will be available.
The axles which enable Slater's S7 wheels to be fitted to the Dapol Mineral wagons are available from either Rob Thompson or myself, we shall have some on the S7 Group stand if interested.

In addition to the mineral wagons, I have used the replacement axles to fit Slater's Mansell and coach disk wheels to the ex-Lionheart GWR Autotrailer.

regards, Graham
