Also managed to get the RMB roof and interior back in the coach. I will use the one removed from the blue one to do the next one that's going to be going in the green RMB.
Already knocked enough screens etc up from plasticard to do all my Darstaeds.

Another issue I encountered was the gangway ends were too big on the rake ends. Even more so with ECT door covers to hide the magnets. The gangway door system is excellent where the coaches are coupled mid rake. Anyway here's my solution. I added plasticard to the pivot where the pin goes thro. Removed the springs. This pulls the door right in! Got rid of the magnets then sanded the plastic back to the lugs which hold the rubber bellows in position. I also trimmed the rubbers down one fold. Added some plasticard to the end and put it all back together.
Compare the Blue Grey coach to the Maroon BG

Only issue ive got is that Sidelines have stopped doing the tape and I've only this much left!

Looks something like this Kyosho Micron Line Tape available in different widths as used by radio control car modellers. Available online.

There was one other thing that niggled me about the gangway ends. That was that there was no rubbing plate so this morning I set about rectifying this. I cut some Evergreen strip then affixed it with MEK to the plasticard I had added to the shortened gangway ends. Let it dry then used the Dremel and needle files to cut the opening under the rubbing plate.

Got the roofs painted on the last 3 yesterday. Stripped the maroon BSO the green BSO and a maroon BG down and removed their interiors for modifying.
I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel with these coaches now they are almost done. You can see they are still Darstaed but will be better with my little stamp added to them. Ha Ha.. They've been a fair bit of work but still believe that I made the right decision selling the Limas and MTH Stanier on and getting them and not waited for Dapol (which are very nice) Heljan weren't even in the equation (don't look right IMHO)
I like them even more now with all the tweaks
