I doooo like the Jinties....is it the influence of the old Triang model from my early days? A very hansom workday looking loco in any scale. But that is only my opinion!!

Although a GWR fan I too have a soft spot, they were around Crewe Works etc into the 1960s and I remember the Triang Models being featured on Berrow, to my mind possibly one of the most satisfying layouts (not sure about the turntable feature being added etc), a Branch off a Branch. I have only ever owned 2 models (a 7mm scale one from a JM Products kit, sold years ago and a Hornby blue S&D one, still in the box).

The latest loco for Callow Lane is this DJH 02, which I was fortunate enough to buy completed from a fellow S4 society member recently. It will be re-liveried to represent one sold into industrial use:

We're getting close to the end of the Somerset and Dorset in March 1966 now and it won't be long before the output of what's left of the Somerset coalfield has to be routed via the North Somerset line to Bristol and Portishead power station.
