I have just seen this and wow what a delightful model. I got to having a look at other 2mm layouts, forgot how unique Leyhill is. That is a lovely model. Then I had to look at John BirketSmith's Ashburton...and to think this is N gauge!!

This scale doesn't get much publicity in this forum..shame as there are some beautiful models around.

I have a soft spot for circular layouts. The shunter on Braferton was a bit lively! The DMU ran nicely.

If you want to see absolutely flawless running in 2mm scale check out Mayfield Street. It is astonishing and would put some 0 gauge to shame.

This scale doesn't get much publicity in this forum..shame as there are some beautiful models around.
I agree, & recently getting my lad started in N gauge (which I used to do years ago - wow there's been some progress!!) enhances my own appreciation of the skill it takes - especially the 2mm FS stuff.!!

The best way to "up" the profile of 2mm on this Forum is to post about it more!! Include links too; any to the above-mentioned layouts?
