Here's a photo inside St Pancras Station in 1968. There's nothing remarkable in that, except that I notice all the parcels stock remains in BR maroon, and all - or apparently all - the passenger stock is in blue and grey.

May just be a useful reference for anyone modelling the early years of BR blue.

I walked through there yesterday. It is clearly a more magnificent, if considerably less interesting, station than in the 1970's, but I can't help thinking that the Midland Mainline has been hugely diminished by it with 4 platforms stuck out in the north-west corner whilst perfectly good space for platforms has been taken up by a champagne bar...

I arrived early for a train to Paris about 8 years ago and the station was just about deserted. I got some nice photos. I thought it looks magnificent and wonderful that they didn't demolish it.
