7mm 7mm in the Great Outdoors

Back to work this week and motivation has done one again. So an hours chill and testing in the Garden. Just about given up with the Cargo Wagons, I think they're too light, too long and too much play between the bogies and the chassis. They will need some works attention to see if I can get them running better. MOD train (or at least part of it) has been on on test in various forms and ran absolutely fine around all bar one very short section of track. Not enough play between the loco and first wagon going through the point work. Slight tweak to the alignment may be required. The MK1 set however ran for a good 40/50 mins with no trouble around the tighter inner loop.

Well I said I wasn't going to have any 20's, but as my mainline fleet basically consists of a 26 and a raft of 37's when one came up mint for a sensible price I couldn't resist now I have somewhere to run them. Unfortunately for my wallet at the ECT do this weekend it found a stable mate. The blue one has an identity in mind but now I need to research the RF one!

An afternoon play has also been had now the wiring is complete!

Obligatory snow shots this morning. 37423 & 26024 on snow clearing duties. They didn't get far due to the drift and the Independents weren't available. There may be a 1Z99 to collect them later in the day.

Been a while since I chucked anything in here but yesterday we had a bit of an ad-hoc session in the garden while a couple of items were delivered and a bit of a MIOG show meeting. It was bloody freezing cleaning the track this morning and it didn't all go to plan with various loco's and wagons not playing ball but we did manage to get one loop running nicely with the turbots and a few loco's. 26005 has broken cover and now needs to go back to St Rollox for rectification and 47492 has arrived to go through works.

You Garden guys are so fearless taking your trains out in the wet!! mine stay safe indoors, I wouldn't want them anywhere near any sort of moisture!!

Well from Snow at the beginning of the month to Sun & BBQ's towards the end. Bit of a running session yesterday. unfortunately I've only got 26024 & 37156 in traffic at the moment, the rest of the fleet need some attention.

47114 & 47309 are both WIP do just posed for some pictures, now back in the workshop, aiming to get these back to Cam this week so we can hopefully get at least one of them in traffic for Doncaster GoG show with Dovedale.

60062 paid a visit with some Skytrex PCA's, unfortunately the PCA's wouldn't play ball around the layout so didn't last long.

And lastly, the backbones of my fleet 26024 & 37156 both stretched their legs with the MOD train and the MK1's.

To be fair I wouldn't run anything in the wet, we have been known to through coats over the trains when we've got caught out. The house is that warm inside normally that any moisture soon evaporate!

Latest of the workbench and into traffic is 33051, an impulse buy but I rather like it. Back to the WB for some rectification this week and it should be appearing on Dovedale at Doncaster next weekend.
