As an aside the picture of 56107 shows the driver looking at the damage having had an near encounter with a school bus at Strand Rd crossing when he had failed to stop at the red signal.

One that got missed at Buxton and Tinsley.

The first pictures posted from the Reading area relate to a weekend break where people of a certain age may remember . 2 nights for 1 at a Berni Inn stayed at the St George in Reading . Called off at Habitat at Wallingford on the way down (the main warehouse of only a few stores at that time .) Also had a very expensive and not very good meal on the Sat night at the The Swan Streatley which I noticed was on the news this week as being one of those hit by the floods .Showed the very room we dined in lovely view of the river but not worth the price they were charging plus service charge (No wonder they kept coming round asking if we wanted liquors ) Well it seemed dear at the time some thing like £30.00. in the early eighties . Stopped off at Oxford and Blenheim on the way back .

NB Remember plenty of fashion conscious Punks loitering with intent around Reading .

Hi Ho
