Jim,

Thanks for posting. I've been trying to watch it during the morning and failed (guess it was too busy) so I've just dropped on to YouTube and watched a few of the key moments.

What a beautiful aircraft and what a fantastic day for British industry; congratulations to all involved especially those round 'ere at Airbus Filton, Rolls Royce and Dowty.

Steph,

It's all there on the same URL I gave above with the take-off at 01:01:25, some very nice air to air returning to base at 04:15:50 and the actual landing, after the low level fly past, at 04:35:45. It's a pity I couldn't have given a bit more notice before the take off at 09.00 our time - I only picked up the URL on PPRUNE at that time.

Jim.

brilliant, I assume that the Dick Turpin anti-dazzle mask around the cockpit was to enable Airbus to steal Boeing's thunder:)) which they certainly seem to have done - well done to all concerned.

cheers

I must admit I am a little bit unnerved at the though of a carbon fibre aeroplane (thinking of the Comet and it's ground breaking technology) taking me anywhere but what a marvel and I hope it is successful.

I wouldn't worry about the "plastic" bits - it's the control systems and new electronics that you need to worry about!
