A station sign for West Green, Whoo hooo the fat geezer come up trumps I got two of them and so will hang them above the back scene. Will also scan them and make small copies for that will go on the swan neck gas lamps on the station

At 11 years old I was custodian of an OULTON BROAD NORTH one for four days -

A classmate brought it in to school for me one day (a bit if a surprise to me and everyone else, but I didn't say no!).
Three days later he asked for it back as a friend of his mother had seen him on the train with it sticking out under his mack and told her, so he was going to have to put it back on the platform post.

Oh well at least it had a short holiday…...

I remember on the railway bridge in Avenue Road Tottenham was an LNER sign advising that trespassing was not allowed It was the second bridge pass Seven sisters on the way to West Green. It was bolted on and I thought I should remove it as the railway closed in 1963. Well when I left for Australia in 1972 it was still there, but 28 years later in 2000 my first trip back to Tottenham some light finger thieving swine had flogged it. BUGGER
