Another hello from Shropshire

Hi folks,
Having just joined I thought I'd put up a photo or two - but they have been rejected on file size. They will have to wait. Layout in 0 gauge based rather loosely on the S&D in the early 60s. Loosely? Well, I've decided that Bournemouth grew in economic importance rather faster than it actually did, so I have slightly increased the traditional S&D service. Otherwise it's the Pines, through and local passengers, lots of coal and mixed freights etc. I'll post pics once I find out how to reduce the file size.

Welcome Chris. And that photo looks good - very good.

I often have to resize my images, so yours is not an unusual situation. In general, and when it can be done, we prefer a full image rather than thumbnails. I'm sure we'd like to see more.

Welcome Chris:thumbs:, for a mad moment I thought you were another North Eastern modeller, modelling the Stockton and Darlington (the original S&D:p)

Nice photo of a nice subject again, Chris, but still as a thumbnail.

When you've uploaded your file you'll notice "Thumbnail" and "Full image" in boxes underneath the photo title. If you click on "Full image" that's what you'll get!

Never thought this PC numbskull would be advising someone........

Good luck.

Brian

Another one - I have to admit that the buildings are not my work, but they fit in beautifully!DSCN7949.JPG

Hi Rob,

Indeed a fascinating railway, the "other" S&D, both as a very early steam hauled mineral line and also as a very early electric hauled mineral railway. 1500V DC anyone?
regards, Chris

I like that. Just my sort of thing. And full size as well!

Just wait for the weathering police to come out, Chris. Any moment now. They are the ones in the grubby macs.

My locos and stock all look like your Standard 4 tank. They always looked like that when I was a boy. And the sun always shone.:))
