At long last, metal has been cut!

After talking about it it since I think 2009, I have today final cut metal on my first kit. Well I did attempt an MTK class 25 back in the mists of time, I think that is what put me off any form of modelling over the last 30+ years.

OK the first kit is an MMP 16T mineral 1/108, bending & folding going well.

Pictures to follow once I find USB cable.

Well after an afternoon of reading, cutting & folding I ended up with an assembled but unsoldered first stage of the 16T chassis.

The chassis isn't completely flat, I will somehow sort this before I commit to solder.

Biggest issue so far, eyestrain. I need to invest in some sort of magnifying light.

Found a fine tipped marker pen useful to mark the four corners A, B, C & D same with components which only fit on one corner.

Tomorrow evening out with the soldering iron!
