Project Cac.......'distance between stools'......what makes me think that all this is heading down the incontinence path? Sorry , this is what comes from being married to a retired district nurse where stools are a totally different thing  .....and you certainly wouldn't sit on one
You've clocked onto the theme then :))

The first time I ever saw a good treatment of point rodding was in the series on constructing a P4 layout in the Constructor many years ago. I remember the series running for years but can't remember the name of the layout. :) But the chapters on rodding are worth reading. I'll try and dig up more details to make this information of some use. :)
Cheers Jim (and everybody else who identified layout) I'd be grateful if you can track the MRC issue number down Jim (when you get the chance) - be a trawl through ebay then to see if they are about.

Steve,

Just found this web page on the North London Group web site which documents all the articles in the MRC - saves me thumbing through my old MRCs. There's always the danger of seeing old interesting articles and getting waylaid into other things. :) The dates are February and March 1982 and the articles are by Mike Sargent. I have a scanner. :)

Dear Jim
Please could you fix it for me to have copies of the point rodding articles in MRC Feb and March 1982 by Mike Sargent.
Many Thanks
Steve (aged 9 and 3/4)
:D
I've sent you a PM

Is there something we need to know about your childhood?
I don't think so :) That was a free image found on the tinterweb somewhere.
I did write to Jimmy once asking if he could fix it for me to have a ride on the APT, but no reply.
JimG came good though :D

Not much to report over the last couple of weeks (still no rodding stools), but I have at least named the layout Boomers Wood and started painting the Provender Store. I'll edit the front post so it doesn't get confusing, but have a photo of the Prov store as it stands, hopefully more progress and some daylight shots tomorrow (which will show I have painted the concrete bits, it isn't just primer :) )

I remember the original review of the Ratio provender store in MRC way back when and having seen the superb job you've made of yours makes me think I should indulge sometime.
