Afraid our vintage bus does not collect from Bristol airport the air port link goes to Bristol Bus station, and the M3 metro link from near Bristol bus station drops at the campus a small walk through the campus follow signage (finger post )there may be some body coming from Dusseldorf last year he drove on the Friday a Jurgen

I haven’t seen grit used on runways since Scandinavia in the ‘70s when it was spread and melted into the ice to give a friction surface. All done with sprays nowadays.

Many thanks to all involved at B0GG. Apart from a slight delay getting in to set up this morning, the show seemed well packed with folk prepared to spend money. I had at least 25 folk visiting the stand who said that they had heard of the HST power car on a forum and wanted to see it in the flesh.
In spite of the constant drizzle all day, the car parks were well packed and if you've got to be on your feet all day, the carpeting helps!
So, well organised, convenient location by a motorway junction, effective lighting and with good catering facilities.
What's not to like.

It was, as always, a great show, so a big thank you to the organisers and stewards for all their hard work. :thumbs:

I’m not sure why people were kept waiting outside until about 09:10, but I got chatting to a lovely couple in front of me in the queue, which helped to pass the time. “Have you come far?”, I asked them. “Melksham”, came the reply, which came as a surprise, as it’s only about 8 or 9 miles from Devizes, where I live. I should have asked their names - we could have car shared next year. :))

Got a few things I needed for some ongoing projects and also picked up a couple of secondhand books (worth £46 when new), for less than £20 - result!

It was good to meet up with several fellow Thunderers and I hope everyone else, enjoyed the show too.

p.s. I sold a Slater’s kit via the GoG web site to some bloke named Dave and having asked him for his phone number, we had arranged to meet at the show to do the kit/cash exchange. So there I was, before the show opened, sitting on my own having a cuppa. Soon after, I was joined by fellow Thunderer, Dave Summers (a.k.a. “daifly”). “I owe you some money”, he said. “Really - what for?”, says I, then the penny dropped - Dave was Dave, but I hadn’t realised that, when he’d asked to buy the kit and he was puzzled a few days earlier, when I’d asked him for his phone number, which I already had stored in my phone! :))

Best Beloved had a splendid day at the show. The venue, as others have said, is superb. Nowhere does it feel cramped, plenty of room to circulate, and even having a chat in an aisle doesn’t cause problems.

I have to say I didn’t spend all that much, unless you count the coffee :eek:. Then again, we didn’t come to the show with a view to spending much at all. We just enjoyed the overall event. I even managed to find a car park space close to the entrance!

So, echoing what others have said, many thanks to the organising crew for getting almost everything so right.

It was a great show. I did get a bit of a moan from the front desk because I didn't have a Plastic Guild Card with me. I had a paper one. :(

Another great show and with the S7 test track I managed to give my new GER brake van a run. The first time it had been on any track. ran first time. I hope to have a few more bits of stock for next year.

As with everyone else, many thanks for a good show and to the good people who put up the S7 test track. I was able to run my coal tank with 8 wagons. Unfortunately I had to leave early to catch my train home.
