That's good!

For us who know nothing about lasering - does the machine cut all the X axis and then all the Y axis, or does it do a blend of the lot as it travels over the workpiece?
Before I cut anything, I use a tool that joins all the lines together within each layer. This makes a number of routes to cut continuously. So the laser cuts a blend of x and y. I tried splitting the x and y by layer but I didn't notice a speed difference to make it worth while doing so.

I will make a video later so you can see how it works.

Hopefully this shows how the laser cuts.

Final results.

Like a noob I didn't switch off all the layers so that's why we see an extra line. Here we see part of the compound curve. The brick courses were a *$#%er to do.

Still a bit of adjustment needed as I tried to adjust the brick courses to rise slightly as they do on the prototype. This is going to be a double track bridge with road over when it's done. Part of which may find its way on to Love Lane subject to group approval.

Weighbridge looks very good - to be honest the unpainted finish is spot on for a typical bridge - never seen any that were not rust coloured;)

I would be interested in some of those letters & numbers Phill.

Any chance of Warship plate sets or Hymek numbers?

Cheers Phill

Phil,

They're rather cool - what material are they cut from? Card?

Steph
Just the 150gsm card that I use for my windows. I did the design quick to test the idea. I will have look at some real tools and see what I can come up with.

Also thinking of doing hexagon shapes to represent bolts etc.

I looked at a site that showed some parts that had been cut out of N/S with some sort of backing paper to them, so you did not have any tabs to remove.
Would these have been laser cut?
Sorry if I'm asking the question in the wrong place.
Like the look of the spanners mate.

PS. just seen the wall for Steve, NICE.
