Class 47 Boiler Port Size

Hi,

Anyone know the diameter of the Spanner boiler exhaust port for 47580 County of Essex that I am building in 7mm.

On my DJH 47, it's 10.5mm. Sorry for the late reply, only just come across your request.
Are you building a kit or scratch building?

Is there a website which will tell me what type of boilers were fitted to which 47s when built?

I would imagine that by the time 580 became 580 it was eth fitted and the boiler port might have been blanked off as part of the refurbishment ? I do remember them coming to the GEML in their new livery with black window surrounds.

Yes bit late! I finished months ago and yes the boiler port was blanked off. I think i put some photos on here did'nt I?
