Hi all found the forum purely by accident and I'm glad I did it look's like a very interesting place to look for information.
I'm currently a trainee train driver for Londonmidland based at Coventry I've always been interested in railway modelling I'm hoping to start a new layout once my loft conversion is complete within the next couple of weeks.
All being well it'll be something based around the Midlands with a Western region theme from the late 1970's up to the mid 1980's plenty of dirty blue diesels.
I've been on numerous other railway modelling forums and so far It's a sure fire way to put people off modelling they way some people rant on and on etc etc ...
I'm easy going and always looking for inspiration for myself.

Cheers

Hi Colin,
Years ago you could get arrested for writing 'dirty and blue' in the same sentence! ;)

Along with a few others I love the blue diesel era!
Tad jealous you get to play with 12" to the foot trains :)

What scale do you model in?

Hi Richard
I'm currently modelling 4mm scale I was tempted with N but with my dyslexic fingers it was just far to small.
Cheers
