Dave Holt
Western Thunderer
I've recently joined, prompted by some excellent (mainly 7 mm scale) modelling threads from another site moving here and not wanting to lose touch with them.
Now I'm here i thought I'd say "Hello" and post a few photos.
I model in 4 mm scale to P4 standards and have a part built layout based on the terminus at Delph, in the old West Riding of Yorkshire (despite being a Lancastrian!), set in the mid to late 1950's. In reality, the passenger service was withdrawn in 1955 so my model isn't historically accurate and has is called "Holt" (very original).
My main activity is loco construction with my main interests in ex-LMS and BR Standard types typically seen in the NW of England in that period. I also have a liking for rebuilt Bullied Pacifics and have been actively involved in some 304.8 mm/foot scale modelling with 35006, P&O, at the GWSR for the past 20-odd years.
Here's a selection of some of my completed models. All are built by me but have generally been painted, line and weathered by others.
Dave.
