Davies & Metcalfe No 10 hot water injector

hi,

this beast was used in the S&DJR 7F. I am currently building a David Andrews kit and although the parts in the kit are very nice, the injectors seem to be completely wrong. Has any fellow modeller a picture or a drawing of this kind of injector?



Prototype and ...



... model.

Any idea?

Michael,
I worked at Davis and Metcalfe between 1976 and 1980 and was given the task of clearing out the loft with all the drawings going back to when they made iron bed frames in Aberystwyth. The works was stepped in the past including the management who expected everyone to be grateful for having a job. I was made redundant to make way for the new machines that were coming in to the new age at the time. They had to move the shaping machine made in 1865 to put in place a new C.N.C . I spent 3 Christmases on strike burning pallets with the rest of the staff who were equally not best pleased with attitude of the management.
One of my friends was a welder and the owner came into the welding shop to ask him to make a couple of large cattle feeders for his farm.
I will see you right my man said the owner.
My friend spent several days cutting and welding to make these long cattle trough only to be rewarded with a box of 6 eggs.

But unfortunately at the time I didn't take much notice the drawings I was tasked with dumping in the skip.
I did notice recently one of the works plates from one of the two loco's that they made for the Vale of Reidol which was in the corridor at Romiley along with the names of the long serving staff recently came up for auction at a well known railway auction house.

In the late 70's early 80's I worked in the BR Research Braking department and occasionally had a trip to the Romiley working museum. The highlight of the day would be lunch in the Directors' Dining Room, where the MD would always insist on carving the joint himself for diners. Not as good as Knorr Bremse in Munich, where a butler, resplendent in tails and speaking perfect English, served lunch.

Thanks for all replies.
In between I noticed that 53808 and 53809 seem to have the same injector today which might be different from what they had in their first life. The pictures from Barry scrap yard show them without injectors. They were probably removed because of the higher value metal. So new injectors were required to resurrect them.
I found the 15-012 Injector at LG, but it looked quite different to me.
In between, I made up my mind that I need not so much the injector, but the piping, so I am trying to build some tube based cylindrical housing with tubes and flanges. We'll see.
