Like Phill I spent a bit of time backing up my photo's once I found out I had a terrabye to play with - it took me 4 days on my poor internet connection but I did upload them at full resolution.

Which is why I only ever post maximum 1024px per side images up there. All photo "sharing" sites have similar T&Cs, so it's down to the end user to make the choice as to whether to accept them or not.

Equally, wherever you put an image that's publicly viewable in a browser, someone can steal it. If you don't want someone to use or steal your images, don't post them on the interwebs.

Exactly, which makes a mockery of all these people who put right click save inhibits in place, they're rubbish, the minute the image is on your PC screen it's on your PC hard drive, all it takes is a little savy to locate and save to your collection.

As you say, if you don't want it stolen or spread all over the web, don't put it on the interweb full stop.
