Much of my modelling involves bodging at something that was perfectly acceptable before I turned my attentions on it.
At the moment, all the major structures on Beaminster Road are complete, they just need 'bedding-in' so it was a rather a shock when SWMBO noted that there was no method for the passengers to cross the tracks. It was no use pointing out that Sutton Bingham required no such frippery but she was not to be placated and suggested that I was just too lazy.
I had thought that the real problem is the lack of information - another mistruth - I was immediately directed to Sherborne station to record the lovely footbridge. However how to replicate the footbridge with my lack of skill, so I looked at all the available candidates - most are nothing like Sherborne but I think that the Ratio 548 modular footbridge could be adapted. Therefore, I am off to the local model shop to see what is available.
