Thanks Phill, I missed it this morning, I heard the exhaust and by the time I had got up and gone to the window all I could see were the coaches.

No pics this time Phill ?.

Steve

No I just saw them through the kitchen window :( .........I saw the 37 making return journey without the kettle in Leeds when I was working tonight.

Nah he don't like 37's

They are growing on me :) ..........any diesel that passes on the most boring line in the world is most welcome :D , trouble is we don't get much freight so we don't see many loco's :(

Largo 37's were my favourites, but must be enhanced by a "Scotty Dog" motif!!... had a few (too few really) memorable rides on the West Highland behind 37's....:D
It is a curious thing though, that I think split-box 37s looked better in Largo, but center-box ones looked better in BFYE - well to my mind, anyway.... Green never did suit them at all!!
Going just a tad even more off-topic, what nicknames do you chaps call 37s by? Back in the day my mates & I all called them Siphons - I have no idea why, but these days they seem to be known as Tractors..??!!??

I think most of those nicknames came about in the 1980's ?.......when that pic was taken (about 78/79) they were rather boringly called 'Type 3's round here, as opposed to 40's which were 'Type 4's'.

I thought Large Logo suited the Scottish ones very well too

Excellent, I got a glimpse as I went along Ings road for some fuel at Sainsburys but it was only a glimpse as I was going around the round about.

I haven't seen much of it this week - usually as it was setting off behind the monstrosity of a car park just beyond Westgate Station. I could only make out the tender and thought that it was another black five
