I was the NR 'Person in Charge' yesterday, and took some video from the train and other locations. It was a wonderful day, glorious weather for the most part, and a lot of fun!

Thanks CK, it's certainly no slouch when hill climbing.

Would there be any chance of the image of the late afternoon train standing at Looe that you put up at the other place. It's an absolute stunner of a shot.

Fascinating thing, truly a kettle on wheels. I would assume it is quite 'snug' inside in the winter judging by the misted windows

Well, tomorrow is the second and final day of running on the Looe branch, well worth the trip for anyone who fancies seeing something 'different' out on the national network. Weather even looks promising!

Here are a few photos to be going on with, after what was a fantastic, magical day, if rather exhausting by the end of it!

The vintage bus waits at Looe as the 0830 ex-Liskeard arrives:

Looe, and the 1720 to Liskeard awaits departure:

Taken from the 1720 ex-Looe, which has come to a stand at the Stop Board on the approach to Coombe Jct. The One Train Working Staff has been handed over to the ground frame operator, who is walking back to the GF to change the road, so that the railmotor can run into the station and take water, prior to making the last ascent of the day to Liskeard:
