Heljan OAA and VAA stock - conversion for S7

How have S7 modellers converted these Heljan wagons from 0-FS to S7 track standards?

Hi Graham

Just replace the Heljan wheels with those from Peartree, the Peartree bearing fits really well into the Heljan bearing, it's a 2 minute job.

Did you mean the Peartree axle fits the Heljan bearings or are you doubling up with bearings?

Yes, Peartree wheels work. Here are my S7 modified OAA and VAA.... VAA a little easier as the solebar became detached. You also might want to think about the brake disc inserts from Pete Harvey (if I recall correctly).

I'm doubling up the bearings, the Peartree bearing fits nicely into the Heljan bearing.

And do be careful that the Heljan wagon doesn't fall apart as some don't appear to have been glued together very well.
