Hello All

Its all Mike Williams fault, he keeps banging on about Western Thunder. And Steve Cook must shoulder some blame too ! Anyway I am here, and I understand I must introduce myself. My Name is Ian Thomson and my nickname has long been unkl Ian ( as in uncle Ian, its a long story ). I have been fiddling around with and making model railways for a fair while, probably 40 years depending where I start. My reason for joining Western Thunder is because I have been getting more and more involved in Gauge 3 modelling recently and I was told that this was a good place to be. I am currently working on a number of loco and rolling stock projects as well as a circle of track in my little garden for the steamers. I have plans and a start on an indoor layout too but that has taken a back seat during this summer (!?) .
All the Best Ian

And about time too! Welcome Ian. I know some of your projects are well up to the high standards of modelling often seen on here and will be inspirational but, as Andy says, we like pictures!

Thank you John, yes it was all Roundhouse at this stage apart from the frames and the axles. I had to shorten the cross members a bit too.

I have started a thread in the G3 section, and hopefully I will post some more there as it progresses .

Hi Ian,

welcome to WT, a very interesting workbench you have - all in the best Scattergun tradition of Railway Modellers.

cheers
