How to include a photo to text

I have an iPad . How do I down load a photo to textt. . Sorry but I am very old. Can help with advice on gallons, pints, gills, pecks and bushels!!!!!!

I want to download from I pad to add photo to a posting. Sorry not up to speed on computer stuff. I am guessing at the terminology.
