20%? That's nothing. Try living with a German Shedder Shepherd! It took a couple of years for most of it to disappear after she wasn't here any more.
Same with our labradoodle , she turns up every now and then . I think it's more to do with my cleaning methods .:(

It will soon be a year since my last visit to a petrol station.

Smug EV owner charging at home for 7.5p per kWh :)

The devastating fire which has closed Glasgow Central Station was allegedly caused by battery charging in a vape shop next door. The batteries in vapes are tiny compared to those in cars but even though car battery’s are probably better quality the intensity of the fire has raised awareness of the hazards, Lots of reports of how it is almost impossible to extinguish a battery fire, they produce their own oxygen so burn under water. The fire brigade try to contain the blaze.
The incident has also brought out a lot of reports of fires, minor and major, caused by battery faults. EVs being mentioned in a fair number of cases.
Sorry not funny.

It’s a worthwhile discussion, but perhaps a diversion to a new thread?

I think it's an outdated topic largely based on old technology, and scaremongering by people with vested interests in traditional technologies, or with a fear of change. An EV fire is a novelty and therefore newsworthy. ICE fires have been happening for over a century and aren't worth reporting.

In other news, yesterday an EV tyre was trashed when it hit the sharp corner of a protruding paving slab. Reaction if it had got on the local news: OMG, milkfloat tyres are dangerous and EVs need to be banned before thousands of people die.

That shouldn't be be here either, as I'm not laughing. It cost me £160 :(
