Many years ago I bought some latch switches from Maplins. They also sold kits whereby you could assemble several switches into a frame and then pressing any switch would release another.
At last I have reached the stage at which I wish to assemble a six gang unit but I can`t get it to work reliably. I have two four gang units of the same type that were assembled by a friend about 36 years ago that work reliably.
Individual switches work correctly. I have three sets of frames for a six gang unit and all parts look identical and match parts for a four gang and two gang unit.
I can`t feel any burrs on the parts and dimensionally I think they identical.
Any ideas?
As far as I can tell there is no lubrication on the old working units.
