Dan had been hard at work on 4037 for me

Mixed up some backing plaster to cover the polystyrene on St Stephens. It’s cheaper than using tubes of no nails.

Experimenting with Peco flexible fencing, it definitely needs toning down but I like it and I’ll need quite a lot ! Oh and I need a ton of ferns !

I like it! Reputedly it was one of NAs best Castles as it had a completely new front end with the more 'modern' inside cylinder covers after conversion from a Star. I was lucky enough to have it haul me and a lot of other kids on a school trip from S Devon to Swindon. I still have vivid memories of that journey as the train was so long that it had to make two starts from Torre Station.

More progress on Westbourne Bridge today, starting to add some detail bits, additional enamel advertising signs plus the talc/ paint gunge for the rail sides.

5th and final board for St Stephens bank made up, The famed Haskins Hill end. Quite a bit of imagination is needed but once built up and covered in trees it should be quite an imposing sight.

Back home from the Newport show with this superb Intentio GWR road bridge for St Stephens, not a drop of glue on this yet. Superb kits, Highly recommended. I can see a nice 3D printed version of myself standing on there.

After a day of painting and baking Teignton Lane farm bridge is looking almost ready to plant. I will add more weathering once in place and I can concentrate powders where the chimney blast would be, I’ll finish up the wing walls tomorrow. I’ve gone a little more fancy with the engineers blue on this one and final weathering will take place once it’s bedded in and the scenery built up around it. Another quality product from Intentio.

It's the lighter patches of colour in the middle of the bricks, especially the engineer's blue bricks, that really makes the difference.

Another book in my personal collection again from the Photobooks app, Jack Boskett took some superb shots of the little diorama he had off me a few months back and in this one I’ve decided to pay tribute to a few projects I didnt get to complete. It’s a superb way to document some of the projects I’ve made and allows me to keep a nice record of them and With some of the ongoing projects I have underway I think volume 6 & 7 will be completed this year.

Today’s application of MIG and AK washes on the shed area on Westbourne Bridge and over on St Stephen’s the new Intentio bridge was tried in place and I must say I’m very pleased with it

A delivery from Skytrex today and we have our underpass for board 3 and a relic of world war 2 which will be concealed in the man planted forest. As always with Skytrex there’s an element of filing and cutting to make the parts fit and I’ve used DAS clay on the joints. I’ll allow that to harden and sand and where needed scribe the mortar joints in.

The pillbox after a few coats of Phoenix weathered concrete and also for St Stephens a ballast bin made from old sleepers with correct GW two bolt chair pattern from Intentio. This will sit by St Stephens signal
Box with an upturned wheel barrow just like a picture I have of Dainton Box.

As the sun is out it’s the perfect opportunity to do some painting and weathering, first is the pill box and then the farm underpass, I’ve picked out the various colours and now it’s time to start the washes, Matt black first.

A few grey washes and that’s made everything look so much better. I’ve added some nice cast gutter pots and in time I’ll add the down pipes using ModelU fittings, this is to disguise the casting mould mark. Still the underpass it’s self to weather up and I’ll go quite green on this one.
