I’ve Planted a few small MBR trees along the hedges by Teignton falls stream to beef up the hedges and also because I underestimated how small some trees are. I will be purchasing some more of these height trees to do the same on some other areas of the layout.04032644-9BD4-410E-BD2B-E2F0A518974D.png157007A3-B3D1-47FB-AA34-D6B15FF4B036.png3B723A61-4345-46FF-ADE4-1086D357B4AB.jpeg

Ash crane next to the disposal and coaling road with the ready road next to it which would house a top link loco ready to cover for any failures.
The midland side will be getting an extension making the layout L shape but more on that later

The Holloway tunnel end is back home with me, The signal box has been glued in place, an order is in with ModelU for some point rodding stool bases and then I can get the sand down and start on ballasting, The signal mans allotment base has been made up with used Intentio 2 bolt hole sleepers and some line side equipment boxes glued in place. The distant signal marks the point the large Craven Arms bracket signal will live currently under construction with Jon Fitness.EAEF8E1A-F620-4752-9106-5DA4A0F8B938.pngADEA1A10-5A07-4CCB-9A84-D0349C060768.pngD5CF05A9-56D2-44CF-98F8-D8FDBE5B03E9.jpeg

More progress on the coaling stage for marches road, the painters have gone a little overboard on the chocolate and cream! I think that’s down to regional rivalries, it’ll get a liberal coating of dirt and hopefully I’ve got some nice 3D printed bits coming for it as well. We have to assume that there’s a much larger mechanical coal hoist around the back of the shed and this one was built to serve the GW top link locos as they liked to trim their own coal and not have it smashed to bits when dropped from the mechanical hoist.View attachment 166729View attachment 166730
Small point Steve. My friends at Didcot get very exercised when the ‘Coal stage’ is called a coaling stage. Thanks though for the thoughts on colours - I found that helpful as we are forever discussing what should be which colour when constructing and painting on the civils side.

Tree planting on the Holloway tunnel end, I didn’t intend on filling this area up initially but Im glad I have, some of the trees are just there for placement purposes until the dedicated ones are delivered.
The Small woodland provides a nice bit of elevation in the back corner.
This also means I need to source more trees for the Haskins Hill end. B8280B8B-6D3C-4F12-92E7-66670EED00ED.png1D3A85E5-6157-4163-A6FB-721B0586E2DD.png
The allotment has been made up, I’ve got some carrots on the way plus some ModelU point rodding stools.3ED27B56-8C66-4137-A2D5-8690681D20E3.png
