Today at Crymlyn A Shop No.29, the rebuild contract locomotive for the GWR, is found outside the works.
The cylinders have been fitted and Percy Veerance and Owen the Spanners make final adjustments.
GWR 359, the Hudswell Clark contract locomotive for the Llanelly & Mynydd Mawr Railway Company, waits patiently outside the shed for her plates to be fitted.
Dai Larfin, the Crymlyn A Shop stores person, will have to chase up this order as it is now several weeks overdue.
1140 is the only other locomotive on shed.
Dai the Paint is also just out of shot standing on the front footplate of 359 but his paint tin is just visible.
Baldrick, the A Shop gofor, rests on his shovel while our foreman studies a couple of the ladies from the local leisure centre.
Just visible in the second picture are 1338 & No.1 HERCULES.
