I’d heard he was unwell but had not heard about the bike accident

If possible please pass my kind regards for an early recovery

I don't know Laurie but being an old biker having experienced some serious gravel rash and seeing a few mates suffer in the past I can sympathise with him as even minor injuries can take an age to heal, I'm even still suffering to this day from the effects of having 'thrown it down the road'
All the best mate

A direct quote from Laurie's Facebook page today,
I’ve passed on all of our well wishes.

An angel for Christmas.
For those who don’t know I was involved in a serious RTC in July 10th. Myself and 4 friends had been out on our usual most awesome bike run . The accident occurrred on the way home on A78 after Fairlie.
In the accident 2 bikes were written off, and I was very seriously injured, suffering multiple fractures including neck and spine.
While lying on the asphalt holding my friends hand, I suffered cardiac arrest and slipped away .Out of the blue a young lady appeared and administered CPR , and stayed with me until medical help arrived.
I don’t know who she is, but this angel saved my life.
I would love to thank this lady personally, she is my hero
Merry Christmas to all and my best wishes

Laurie
