Great news, I was in the market to buy a few more Lion heart minerals so maybe I will buy some of David's instead. Hopefully if he sees this thread he could tell me if they have working leaf springs or are using another form of springing ?

Martyn.

Yes - individual phospher bronze leaf springs + opening side [incl. upper doors where applicable] & end doors so you can all load your Dolly Mixtures or Jap Desserts into your wagons!

17 new kits incl. Bogie Trolley Wagon, Bogie & Twin Bolsters, Tube Wagons, Minerals and more.

I had a chat with David about these a few days ago. Very excited about them, saving the pennies for some of the early batch, built 1947. If I had the cash it would be a few of each, well it will I suppose as and when,

Looking at the detail etch images I can see the same style W iron etch as that used for leaf springs and included in the extches are phospher bronze spring strips and the blurb for each wagon does state working leaf springs so I'd say they do.

Ack, beaten to it LOL.

I really must get myself one of these - I like the look of the 40t well wagon.

I don't think I've ever built an etched wagon kit in 7mm scale. I don't know why, it just hasn't happened.

Hi Richard,

A few years ago I built one of David's 08 shunters which are enjoyable to build, so I will definitely have a few of these minerals off MMP. That's after the repair bill for the Mercedes has been paid of course .

Talking of etched wagon kits, I finished a WEP fruit D recently and I thoroughly enjoyed that build as well.

A man of your talents will find a MMP or a WEP kit a walk in the park  .

David,
To avoid any confusion when potential buyers go leafing through their copy of 'LMS Wagons v2', am I right that the 30T Bogie Bolster should state 'Drawing 6468, not 'Diag 6468'?
From RJE's comments these wagons were never allocated to a Diagram under the LMS - whereas the MR design from which they were developed was allocated to one, D827.

Like other WT members I found details of these new wagons by accident... I was just browsing the MMP pages for details of the tank wagons. There is nothing about these new kits on the MMP News page and I have not received any info via the MMP e-mail newsletter.

David, have these new wagon kits been announced in any media / format other than by appearing in the MMP wagons page?

regards, Graham
