They do a 1:43 scale 1927 Eagle Gurney Weslake (whatever one of those is). And the price? A mere 13,000 Yen.

That's actually only about £103 plus VAT. Good value for money if that's your thing.

A 1/20 Porsche 917/30 is £262 same for a Lotus 49 so not too bad for what you get

That was very interesting, especially the bit about how they make the plans without access to blueprints and the like.

In effect they are drawing 2d plans and placing the drawing on planes.
I recently had a little job to draw up a plastic container and the easiest way to capture the compound curves was to photograph it, stick the photo on as plane, run a few splines and then lofting/surface.
I also was suprised to see the etch art work in illustrator.
