Hi all,

This weekend sees Model Rail Live 2013

I'll be there helping Dennis-rs operate his layout Lincoln Central. So if you find yourself in the area then come and say hello and have a chat  Don't expect prtotypical formations and operations as we like to have fun, that's why we're having a sweepstake to see how many times we get picked up (criticised) :p

Cheers,

Mark

Good day today,

We had some good crowds around the layout and received a lot of good feedback, from punters and exhibitors alike. Met a couple of Thunderers and spotted a few more in the distance. There were some good layouts there of all scales and one in particular had a fantastic scenic item which had me chuckling all day. I'll post it later when I get chance

Well we had a great time exhibiting Lincoln Central at our first 'major' show. We recieved a hell of a lot of positive feedback from fellow exhibitors/traders and the paying public alike. We were a bit worried initially about how we'd be received as Lincoln is obviously a 'Work-in-progress'. At one point we had to explain that 'Work-in-progress' wasn't the name of an Australian 80s pop band stinker.gif The layout itself behaved mosty well apart from an issue between the few Cobalt motors that had been fitted instead of Tortoise ones. We found out the hard way that they don't like to mix lol. We also found that our extensive planning during the building phase paid dividends as we were dismantled, packed, racked and up the A46 inside 50mins. Result. As for the rest of the show we managed to enjoy the other layouts which were all a credit to their owners/operators and a nice bit of banter with our neighbours from Langley Models. If anyone who viewed Lincoln Central has any ideas, feedback, stories or anecdotes we'd love to hear from you. Over the weekend we found out that Mr Jarmen lived at the end terrace next to Pelham Bridge and kept pigeons and one un-named gentleman went out with the butchers daughter from the shop next to the High Street level crossing. Brilliant mosking.gif It was also nice meeting up with Mr PMP (Albion Yard) and also the guys from Hollowbeck Shed, or Dikitrikis northern crew for Heyside :p as they called themselves,

All the best,

Mark and John

Greetings from sunny South Wales,
Nice to meet up over the weekend, thought Lincoln central has great potential, the blue and grey really floated the boat,
Good to put a face to the avatar.

Not so sure about your deduction...
