1/32 Motorised Fiddle Yard Sector Plate/Traverser

Has anybody ever seen a method for motorising the operation of a fiddle yard sector plate or traverser? I'm interested for both my layouts Blackbridge Town and Blackbridge Town Riverside.

There were some discussions on RMWeb last year IIRC. I'm sorry I'm not sure on which thread.

Suggestions included a stepper motorised lead screw, using Arduino control, or a simple servo motor for a two position sector plate

There was a major traverser built, again if I can recall correctly, in 00 gauge, with computer control and I think this used toothed belts and a pair of steppers.

I built an O gauge rotating traverser.

The construction is primarily from wood and plexiglass, and uses drawer slides. The traverser moves back and forward on a screw thread, driven by a small 12 volt motor. The table (on top of the traverser) rotates using delrin chain and sprockets, driven by another 12 volt motor.

The logic is by an Arduino, which control the motors through an add-on 'motor driver board'.
