Mystery W-irons

I recently bought a job lot of various Slaters part-build MR wagons in 7mm and the lot included some etched W-irons of a manufacture I didn't recognise.

There was also a PB coil spring about 1mm diam x 5mm long.

Does anyone know what I've acquired?

That is Slaters sprung W-irons.

I think - but I could be wrong - that that is a Slater's W-iron.

The look like the set I have sat in front of me know apart from the U shaped etched part. but that also looks like an etch the slaters style.

OK thanks all. Does the u-shaped part get laminated onto the W-iron? Inside or out?

The U part fits around the Slaters wagon axle box, which then slides into theW iron, and holds the spring in place between the two pips.

PS I believe they are from the Slaters LMS Brake Van.

They can be bought as packs for different wagons etc,.........Slater's Plastikard - 7mm Scale Wagon Fittings

Its a Slaters MR wagon set

The "U" section isn't used now because the bearing blocks come with a pip already on. The etch has however not been modified.
